Toronto Film Production
February, 2006.
“Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium”, a family feature film from Stupid Zebra Productions is set to start filming in Toronto between March 27th and June 6th.
Produced by Richard Gladstein and Jim Garavente, executive producers Joe Drake and Nathan Kahane; starring Natalie Portman and Dustin Hoffman.

$275 Million Dollar Toronto Film & Media Complex
December, 2005.
Construction is cleared to begin the $275 million dollar project for the construction of a 1.2 million-square-foot film and media complex in Toronto.
The megastudio will be developed on land owned by the Toronto Economic Development Corporation and will begin next summer (2006).
The media studio has been dubbed the “filmport” because it is being built in Toronto's port area.
The first phase of Filmport will include six soundstages, with a 45,000-square-foot stage and production support facilities totaling 232,000 square feet.
Filmport is expected to house more than a dozen soundstages totaling 550,000 square feet of production space.
